School calendar approved for 2022-23
DeSoto County Schools (DCS) parents can start planning for the next school year with the approval of the 2022-23 calendar during this week’s Board of Education meeting.
Teachers will report for their first day on Aug. 1 and students’ first day of classes will be Aug. 4.
Dates of note for the calendar will be Fall Break on Oct. 10, Thanksgiving Break between Nov. 21-25, and Christmas Break will be from Dec. 19-Jan. 2.
Students will return to classes on Jan. 5 after Christmas. Spring break is March 13-17 and Easter break will be from Apr. 7-10.
The students’ last day of classes will be May 24 and the last day for teachers will be May 25.
Tentative make-up or weather days are: Feb. 17, April 10, and May 25.
