Rotary scholarship winners announced 

The Rotary Club of Olive Branch on Tuesday, May 23 recognized the winners of the club’s six scholarships to graduating seniors.  

The club raises money during the year through fundraisers and other means to fund the $1,000 scholarships to Olive Branch high schools. The annual golf tournament is one of the major means of fundraising.

The scholarship winners and their college choices are as follows:

  • Fatima Gonzalez (Center Hill/Mississippi State)
  • Rebecca Blackstock (Lewisburg/Mississippi State)
  • Gabrielle Gordon (Lewisburg/Mississippi State)
  • Zaida Johnson (Olive Branch/Northwest Mississippi Community College)
  • Joshua Youngblood (Olive Branch/Mississippi State)
  • Nyla Jones (Center Hill/Southern Miss)  

The Lewisburg High School Jazz Band also entertained during the Rotary Club’s meeting Tuesday noon at Olive Branch Country Club.
