Public meeting to be held about U.S. 51 improvements

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) is holding an open forum public meeting this month about proposed improvements to U.S. Highway 51 in DeSoto County.

The come-and-go forum will be held on Tuesday, March 26, between 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Landers Center in Southaven.

The open forum public meeting will provide the community an opportunity to learn more about proposed U.S. Highway 51 improvements between Green T Road near Hernando to Church Road in Southaven.

Residents are invited to come and go as they please during the meeting to view the department’s plans and to speak to MDOT representatives.
