Preschoolers learn about gardening

Recently, DeSoto Civic Garden Club members constructed planters from donated pallets to help four-and-five-year-old students at Point Day School in Hernando learn about gardening.  The children had a great time planting several varieties of flowering plants and herbs to water and care for.  What a wonderful way to teach our children responsibility and the love of gardening.

DeSoto Civic Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs Inc., and The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc., Hills and Delta District.
