A police social media account on Wednesday acknowledged a box of glazed donuts donated to officers and thanked the donor, according to the post.
The account wrote that officers spend all year saying they “don’t live on donuts,” but that a fresh box of “glazed pillows of happiness” from Ms. Wilkins-Murry undercut that claim, according to the post, which used the hashtag #copsanddonuts.
The post thanked Ms. Wilkins-Murry and said, “We will ensure they are safe,” and included emojis, the post said.
The message closed by inviting the familiar jokes, stating, “Let the donut jokes begin…..,” according to the social media message.
