PDGO breaks ground on Silo Square pediatric dentistry location
A dental practice in the Mid-South for 60 years is set to combine two DeSoto County locations into one larger location in Southaven’s Silo Square.
Pediatric Dental Group & Orthodontics (PDGO) has offices on Airways Blvd. in Southaven and on Goodman Road in Olive Branch, as well as an office in Germantown, Tennessee.
Tuesday, a groundbreaking was held to start work on a new office in the Silo Square area of Southaven on May Blvd. behind Central BBQ. The new office will combine the current Southaven and Olive Branch offices into one, larger facility.
Dr. Clayton Floriani of PDGO said the move is meant to provide better service to their youthful patients and their families.
“We felt like it would serve our customers and patients better if we could have just one central location that was a little bit bigger,” Floriani said. “We do pediatric dentistry and also do orthodontics, so with this new development here at Silo Square we feel it’s unbelievable to have the opportunity to buy a lot, build an office, and be here a long time.”
PDGO specializes in caring for the dental needs of children. Everything in the practice is designed to put a child at ease.
“We want to be welcoming to moms and to kids,” Floriani said. “The dentist isn’t a place that everyone is just looking forward to going to. What we pride ourselves on is that when we do work, we do it painlessly. We have to take pride in taking care of them doing painless work.”
Floriani added the Silo Square location will offer a convenient spot in a growing area of DeSoto County.
“With this new development here at Silo Square we feel it’s unbelievable to have the opportunity to buy a lot, build an office, and be here a long time,” Floriani said, adding it is hoped the new office should be open within a year.
The current Southaven and Olive Branch offices will continue to be open until the Silo Square office is completed, at which time the two current locations will close as the new location assumes current and new patients from the two offices.
