Olive Branch officials said they have received multiple reports of downed trees and power lines across the city.
The alert, posted by Mayor Ken Adams and the Olive Branch Police and Fire departments, warned residents to treat all downed power lines as if they are live, the mayor’s office said.
Northcentral Electric Cooperative said its crews are responding and working to restore power to the community as safely and quickly as possible.
City public works crews were being dispatched to remove fallen trees, the mayor’s office said. Officials again urged residents to treat downed power lines as live while crews complete their work.
