Olive Branch Mayor’s Youth Council members discussed how to plan, develop and host a large-scale community event, including how to respond when plans are disrupted. The City of Olive Branch provided the information.
As part of the exercise, the council was tasked with creating a family-friendly community event and then given a “curveball” that interrupted the event. Members explored what can happen when an event does not go as planned alongside the City Communications Office.
The city said its Community Relations & Communications Office serves as the connection between City departments and the community. The post also thanked Mid-South Screen Printing for sponsoring the council’s 2026-2027 shirt and identified Ken Adams as Olive Branch’s mayor.
