Northcentral Membership Appreciation Day

Monday was Membership Appreciation Day at Northcentral Electric Cooperative. The Olive Branch headquarters at 4600 Northcentral Way were opened between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. for members, featuring food and soft drinks, bounce houses, a balloon artist and more.

Members who came were able to stop in, sign up for raffle prizes, and Vitalant also set up a spot for blood donations.  Visitors could also check into and sign up for Northcentral Connect, the high-speed internet service the cooperative’s subsidiary is offering.

“Cooperatives typically hold appreciation events at the same time as their annual meetings,” said Michael Bellipanni, Northcentral’s Director of Marketing and Business Development. “We wanted to separate the two, to separate the celebration from the business side to the members we serve.”

Northcentral Electric Cooperative serves approximately 36,000 members in eastern DeSoto and western Marshall counties, along with portions of Tate and Lafayette counties.

The business of the organization, the annual meeting, is set for Oct. 25 in the cooperative’s auditorium in Olive Branch.
