Mississippi Youth Chamber Orchestra to perform

Each month the DeSoto Arts Council hosts a musical group on their back porch in Hernando. This Friday, July 2, the featured musician is the Mississippi Youth Chamber Orchestra, led by Peter Whitham, founder of the Mississippi Music Foundation. 

The DeSoto Arts Council promotes local artists and is excited about this partnership.  The porch party will be from 7-9 p.m. with the orchestra performing from 7-8 p.m.  

These talented musicians will provide a wonderful atmosphere against the backdrop of gallery artwork. Located in Hernando at 2465 Highway 51 South, this event will be a perfect start to the holiday weekend!

The concert is free and open to the public.
