McNary: A Spectacular Day at the Southaven Chamber’s Quarterly Luncheon!

On Wednesday, I had the privilege of attending the Southaven Chamber of Commerce’s Quarterly Luncheon at the Landers Center, and it was an incredible event.

It’s not every day that you get to meet so many inspiring individuals in one place, and the luncheon was a perfect blend of networking, camaraderie, and community celebration. Our keynote speaker was Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson.

I am immensely grateful to Eric Williams, COO at Brown Baptist Church, for extending the invitation to this outstanding gathering. The opportunity to network with so many amazing people was both humbling and inspiring.  Plus, I had the chance to meet friends from LinkedIn and Facebook in person, and catching up with old and new friends was truly special.

The room was buzzing with positive energy, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved. Let’s applaud Debbie King and her fantastic team, the magnificent Southaven Fire Department’s Honor Guard for “Presenting the Colors” and the amazing performance of the National Anthem by Britne’ Orr. I thoroughly enjoyed Wesley Barnes’ theatrical performance!

A huge round of applause to the Southaven Chamber of Commerce for organizing such a flawless event. The attention to detail was evident, and it made for a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees. The beautiful plants decorating the stage, provided by Michael Hatcher & Associates added a touch of elegance to the already splendid setting. (I actually won a gorgeous plant as a door prize)

Special mentions must go to Secretary of State Michael Watson and other elected officials for their presence, which added a distinguished touch to the luncheon.

It was an absolute pleasure to connect with so many fantastic people, including those from First South Financial, Verizon,  HR HeartBeat, Thrivent, Coffee Central, Allegiance Staffing, Chick fil A, Palmer Home, House of Grace, Bank3, Community Bank, and, of course, the  leaders from the Southaven Chamber Board and Foundation!

Each interaction was a reminder of the strong community spirit that thrives in Southaven, Mississippi.

I left the event feeling inspired, grateful, and even more committed to our message of belief in oneself, perseverance, kindness, and community engagement. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the day so special.

Quick note: Reality set in for me when I realized a grocery store visit was needed for a few essential dinner items for this weekend. So off to my very favorite grocery store in Southaven.

Hats off to the team and owners of Superlo Foods Southaven, they deserve a very special shoutout for their unparalleled customer service, which is always on display at every visit.

If you are planning to attend any networking events in DeSoto County; always keep plenty of business cards on hand, because you will definitely need them.
