McLendon cleared in Alabama DUI case

July 16 – Over a year ago, Hernando Republican state Sen. Michael McLendon was arrested in South Alabama and charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI). 

As reported in June 2023, McLendon was the subject of a traffic stop near Foley, Alabama when the arrest was made. He was released from jail about five hours after his arrest.  

Today, McLendon issued a statement to his constituents saying he had been cleared of all charges in the case.
