Law enforcement combines to make DUI arrests
Law enforcement combined to make a series of driving under the influence (DUI) arrests late last night.
Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers joined DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department deputies for a saturation patrol along with checkpoints on Thursday, April 11.
The setup was on state Highway 305 near North Cockrum, where in the first hour five arrests were made, including four drug-related DUIs.
By the end of the night, a total of 11 DUI arrests, six drug arrests, 43 traffic citations, one fugitive apprehension, and one felon in possession of a deadly weapon arrest were made.
