Landers Center to go cashless

Starting in March, if you’re going to see a game, concert or show at the Landers Center in Southaven, keep your dollar bills and coins at home.

Monday, Feb. 27, the event center announced that starting March 3, it would be going cashless. For transactions, the following methods of payment would be accepted:

  • Credit or Debit Card
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Samsung Pay

Monday’s announcement said the move to a cashless transaction is another effort to improve the guest experience at an event. The Landers Center has also gone back to free parking at events.

Center officials said the move to being a cashless venue, helps them improve the speed of service at our concession stands.

This is the first stage of them trying to abolish cash and switch us over to a completely digital monetary system (CBDC’s) where they have more insight and control on what we purchase. We have to stand against this push to digitize the financial system, as it truly only helps those at the top that already controls things and gives them more control. Say NO to cashless! It can be an option just not the only option. God bless!
