Horn Lake Police Department said its K9 unit won awards at the 2026 Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Association (MLEOA) Summer Conference on the coast last week.
Officer Izaguirre and K9 Vincent earned first place in vehicle explosives detection and second place in indoor explosives detection, the department said.
The department said its K9 officers and their partners trained with officers from Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. It said they recertified, honed skills and networked during the conference.
Horn Lake Police Department said the team returned with trophies following the event.
