Horn Lake detective named 2025 DeSoto County Multidisciplinary Team Member of the Year

Horn Lake Police Department said Detective Tomie Chase received the 2025 DeSoto County Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Member of the Year award this week.

Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center coordinates the county’s MDT, the center said, organizing a team approach to the investigation and prosecution of child abuse cases with a focus on minimizing trauma to child victims.

The center said the team includes members from every law enforcement agency in DeSoto County, counselors, clinicians, the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office and DeSoto County Child Protective Services.

In a social media post, the Horn Lake Police Department said it was grateful for and proud of Chase’s “relentless approach” to her cases and her eagerness to prosecute child predators.
