Highway 305 southbound under the Highway 78 overpass has reopened and traffic is flowing normally, Ken Adams, Olive Branch mayor, said in a statement from the City of Olive Branch.
The city had earlier asked motorists to avoid the area because of a motor vehicle accident with injuries, Adams said.
At the height of the response, officials had the southbound roadway reduced to one lane and urged drivers to use alternate routes. The city had said there was no estimated time for reopening at that point, according to the statement.
Adams thanked residents for their patience and urged them to stay safe, the statement said.
