Hernando Parks said the Kids Fishing Rodeo on May 2 enjoyed perfect weather and that community members brought their children to participate.
The organization said the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks provided the fish. Hernando Parks said the Optimist Club of Hernando covered costs that allowed organizers to offer prizes to participants.
Hernando Parks said the Hernando Parks & Recreation Foundation provided an “amazing group of volunteers” who helped the event run smoothly and thanked the community for attending.
