Hernando city employee faces embezzlement charges

A Hernando city employee was arrested on Thursday, July 13 and is facing charges of embezzlement.  

Eva Ward, a bookkeeping assistant with the City of Hernando, was booked into the DeSoto County Jail late Thursday morning.

Ward was released on $25,000 bond later Thursday evening.  

No further information was immediately available on the case.
