The Optimist Club of Hernando held its 50th A’Fajr Arts and Crafts event on the Courthouse Square on Saturday, May 18. The Square was crowded with shoppers who viewed the many vendors with their booths who were there until 5 p.m.

The day got a delayed start for the 5K race planned for the morning as a rain system went through the area but once the rain left, it became a nice day to stroll and meet friends and family.

This year’s A’Fair started on Friday, May 17 for the first time when the group Almost Famous entertained with music in front of the Courthouse.

We previewed A’Fair earlier this week in DeSoto County News, now here are some of the scenes from this year’s event.
