Goose nests at Olive Branch City Hall, officials say
Mayor Ken Adams and Olive Branch city staff found a goose at City Hall this morning, the city said. The city said the bird has been dubbed the “Porch Goose.”
The city said the male goose appears to enjoy a vantage point used to watch over “Mrs. Goose” and their nest.
Olive Branch officials asked anyone who encounters the birds at City Hall to respect the nesting area, the city said.
The city directed people to Magnolia Wildlife Education, Conservation and Rehabilitation, Inc., and Mississippi Wildlife Rehabilitation for assistance with ducks, geese or other wildlife. Magnolia Wildlife can be reached at 901-254-4295 or magnolidawildliferehab@gmail.com, the city said. Mississippi Wildlife can be reached at 662-612-6455 or contact@mswildliferehab.org, the city said.
