Flowers serves as Senate page

Elizabeth Flowers of Southaven has served as a page for the Mississippi Senate during the 2025 legislative session. Pages generally run errands for officials and Senate staff.

Elizabeth is the daughter of Merle Flowers and Stacey Reeves Austin and attends Northpoint Christian School. 

When asked about the week, Elizabeth said, “This experience really opened my eyes to how things work. It humanized politics in a way that the media and everyday life don’t often do. I highly recommend that every high school student apply. Senators are people who can be funny, kind, serious, intelligent, and even beautiful in their own unique ways. No one can take away the knowledge I’ve gained from this experience, and the relationships I’ve built will continue to light up the rest of my life.”
