Events celebrate Lewis Ranch Experience opening

There’s been a whole lot of shakin’ going for the “Killer,” the late music legend Jerry Lee Lewis, who claimed the Lewis Ranch in Nesbit as his home in the later years of his life until his death in October 2022.

The weekend was highlighted by a ribbon cutting late Saturday morning at the ranch, located on Malone Road. The event, with members of the Lewis family, along with new owners Todd Allen and Angel Herendeen, means the ranch is now officially opened for tours.

The Herendeens purchased the home in late July, a property that includes the front 10 acres, the 4,775 square foot home, a piano-shaped pool, a lake, a guest house, and a 2,400 square foot shop building.

The celebration will continue again on Saturday, Sept. 28 with a birthday party celebration at the ranch, starting at 3 p.m. and will be a VIP experience with only 100 tickets being sold.

One other event was held over the weekend, when a statue of Jerry Lee Lewis was unveiled at an event in Silo Square.
