Driver dies in one-vehicle crash in DeSoto County

A man from Como has died after a Wednesday morning crash.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) reports Javier Facio, age 32 of Como, was heading south on State Highway 305 about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, when the 1997 Ford Taurus he was driving left the roadway and crashed into a tree.  The crash took place on the highway near Ingrams Mill Road, south of Lewisburg Middle School.

MHP reports Facio received fatal injuries from the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
