Aug 2, 2024- DeSoto County Dream Center, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to Title 1 school students and their families in DeSoto County, is proud to announce its upcoming DC Race 5K. This highly anticipated event will take place on Sept. 21at Compel Church Olive Branch Campus on Davidson Road.
This weekend, Aug. 2-4, is the opening and matching weekend for the race. Homer Skelton Ford has graciously offered to match all race registrations or donations to the DeSoto County Dream Center. Their goal is to raise $20,000 this weekend for Homer Skelton Ford to match. All proceeds from the race helps the Dream Center to continue providing food, clothing, healthcare and education through their programs.
You can participate in their efforts to meet their goal by signing up to run or walk the race, sponsor a Dream Center child to participate in the race or you can just donate to the Dream Center. All of these monetary sources will go towards the Dream Center meeting their goal of raising $40,000 this weekend with the support of the match from Homer Skelton Ford.
