Debbie King named Southaven Chamber President/CEO, Hibbler named Vice President
Nov 3, 2024- Late last week, the Southaven Chamber of Commerce announced new titles for its operational leadership team.
Debbie King, who has held the title of Executive Director for the past three years, Friday was announced as the Chamber’s President/CEO. Shawntel Hibbler, who has been the organization’s Assistant Executive Director, now assumes the title of Vice President.
“Debbie has proven to be an invaluable leader for our Chamber,” said Eric Williams, Board President. “This new title is a recognition of her deep commitment to our mission and vision, and we believe it will allow her to make an even greater impact on the Southaven business community.”
In a news release, the Chamber said the title transition to President/CEO “is a strategic move to reinforce the Chamber’s dedication to shaping the future of the Southaven business community and its continued economic vitality.”
King joined the Southaven Chamber in 2012 and was its assistant director before assuming the leadership role in 2021.
“I am honored by this opportunity to continue leading the Chamber in this new capacity,” said King. “The future of Southaven is bright, and I am excited to build upon our legacy of success as we pursue bold goals that will empower our business community and support a thriving economy.”
Hibbler became Member Services Coordinator in September 2022 and moved into the assistant director’s position in February of this year.
“I am utterly proud of the work our Chamber has done and excited about the future of our business community,” Hibbler added.
