Cars for a Cause

Silo Square in Southaven hosted its “Cars for a Cause” car show on Saturday, Sept. 30 with May Blvd. in the square filled with all kinds of classic and vintage vehicles parked for people to inspect and view.

This year, Make A Wish was the beneficiary of the event, as Cars for a Cause raised $8,000 for the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps fulfill the wishes of children with a critical illness between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 years old. A DeSoto County child yet to be determined will be granted their wish in early 2024 at Silo Square.

Among Saturday’s activities was a Kids Car Show at 11 a.m. as part of the free event.

Car show participants were entered into a 50/50 raffle for an opportunity to be named as a Top Ten Best in Show. A fan favorite was also awarded to the car with the most votes. All of the proceeds benefited Make-A-Wish Mid-South.
