Nov 19, 2024 – SIMFLO, one of the nation’s top providers of industrial, municipal, and commercial-use pumps, has completed construction and officially opened the doors to its new, state-of-the-art, 40,500-square-foot facility in Southaven.

Located on 3.5 acres at 8500 Aaron Lane in Southaven, the new facility is positioned just eight miles from Memphis International Airport and 14 miles from the International Port of Memphis.

“Eighty percent of it would be the location,” said general manager Danny Diaz about why the facility was placed where it was. “The shipping lanes and getting product in here for us to assemble, to get the pumps built and to get them out of here. We get all of our parts from Lubbock (Texas) but we still manufacture here.”

This prime location and proximity to major shipping hubs allows SIMFLO to expedite product delivery and improve supply chain efficiency to better serve its growing customer base in eastern and southern U.S. markets.

Headquartered in Lubbock, Texas, SIMFLO’s new Southaven facility marks the company’s third location in the country, with the other being in Willcox, Arizona.

The SIMFLO team celebrated the new facility on Nov. 19 during a grand opening event and ribbon-cutting ceremony, which was attended by Southaven Mayor Darren Musselwhite, along with key community leaders and representatives from the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors, Southaven Chamber of Commerce, and the DeSoto County Economic Development Council.

The new Southaven facility, which has been in operation for about three months, features modernized office spaces with tons of natural light, all-new flooring and windows, 30-foot ceilings, LED lighting, secure gated employee parking, and sustainable and drought-resistant landscaping throughout. It also boasts a comprehensive warehouse with bridge cranes, a new pipe yard, three large interior dock doors, and enhanced exterior storage for seamless commercial vehicle loading and unloading. Additional amenities include office space, a café, shop breakroom, training room, a breezeway picnic area designed for employee relaxation, and advanced technology installations including a Starlink internet system and a new alarm and surveillance system.

“This building was an empty shell of the building in February,” Diaz said. “Walker Construction came in, did a lot of the upgrades on the electrical, did all of the offices and we moved in all of the machinery, and got the paint booth built and the crane installed.”

SIMFLO’s new Southaven facility offers the company’s full line of high-quality vertical and submersible turbine pumps, as well as other parts and accessories, each engineered and customized to meet its customers’ specific application needs. Approximately 12 employees have been hired to work across sales, management, production, and manufacturing operations, with plans and space for growth.

“We are thrilled to open our doors in Southaven,” said Troy Pickering, CEO of SIMFLO in a news release. “This facility represents our dedication to growth and innovation, as well as our ongoing commitment to serving the modern marketplace with industry-leading pump products and technologies. “
