Bomb threats at two Southaven high schools
Aug. 28 – Both Southaven high schools have received bomb threats today, according to officials, who are investigating those threat calls.
The Southaven Police Department said it received information regarding a bomb at Southaven High School about 11 a.m. today. The school was evacuated while K-9s cleared the school.
About 12:07 p.m., another threat call was made to DeSoto Central High School and that building was also evacuated and cleared by K-9s.
Local, state and federal officials are now working to identify the source of the threats.
