Batesville Main Street to host summer family movie series on square

Batesville Main Street said it will present a Summer Sunset Family Movie Series on the town square on Saturday, May 16; Saturday, June 20; and Saturday, July 18. Each screening will begin at 8 p.m. or at sunset, the organization said.

Movie titles will be announced after Batesville Main Street secures licensing permissions, the organization said.

Popcorn, candy and drinks will be available from local nonprofit groups, which may charge a nominal amount to support their fundraising efforts, Batesville Main Street said. Batesville Main Street said Kona Ice will also serve shaved-ice treats at the events.

There is no entry fee, Batesville Main Street said. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and bug spray, and the organization said the films will be appropriate for all ages.
