Candidates list updated

Friday is the deadline day for candidates filing for municipal elections in DeSoto County. We checked Tuesday with the city clerks and Town of Walls municipal clerk for an updated list of candidates who have filed as of Tuesday morning. The listing we have compiled is found below and can be downloaded through the following link:

This list will be updated one final time once the 5 p.m. deadline is reached on Friday, Feb. 5. Primary election day is April 6, runoffs will be held April 27, and the general election is June 8.
