The president and CEO of the Southaven Chamber of Commerce commended Baptist Memorial Hospital–DeSoto’s leadership for its community engagement and safety measures during a recent advisory board meeting.

Coffee Central said it will celebrate seven years of serving the community with an event at the café on March 25 at 12 p.m., and invited customers to attend.

The Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce announced the addition of Disney travel planner Tommy Bennett as a new member.

Members of the Southaven Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy visited the Southaven Fire Department Training Center Monday night to see fire and EMS operations, the fire department said. The visit included apparatus tours and a simulated vehicle fire demonstration.
