The Southaven Chamber of Commerce announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the opening of Eye Specialty Group’s new service office and surgery center, the chamber said.

The Docket said it serves breakfast until 10:30 a.m. and offers Early Bird specials for customers who arrive before 9 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Organizers said Sunset on the Square will take place in two weeks and will feature local bands, local food, T-shirts and giveaways. They described the event as family-friendly and encouraged community attendance.

The Southaven Chamber of Commerce said it transformed a conference room into an island for a Patio Social Luau set for May 21 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 500 Stateline Road.

Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said City Hall and other city buildings will be closed Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. He said emergency services will not be affected and garbage collection will be delayed by one day.
