A flash flood warning is in effect for much of DeSoto County until 4:15 p.m., as heavy rainfall continues. Authorities advise residents to avoid flooded areas.

Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, at the City Municipal Court Building, the city said. The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed on the city’s YouTube channel.

The Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce said it held a ribbon-cutting to welcome On the Spot Cleaners No. 2 to the community, praising the business’s investment and growth.

DeSoto Family Theatre announced on social media that tickets are available for its production of Finding Neverland, set for July 31-Aug. 2 at the Heindl Center. The theater described the show as a musical inspired by the story behind Peter Pan.

The Southaven Chamber announced the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Monster Mini Golf in Southaven, Mississippi, saying the venue features glow-in-the-dark mini golf and arcade games.

The Chamber announced a partnership with Tropical Getaways for a cruise benefiting the Chamber Foundation and said booking is now open. The trip is open to nonmembers and proceeds will support business grants and community initiatives.
