Y Care hiring event set for Olive Branch

June 24, 2025 – The YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South has announced a series of upcoming hiring events to recruit individuals for part-time Group Leader positions in their Y Care program.

These events provide a unique opportunity for qualified candidates to be interviewed and hired on the spot.

One of the hiring events will take place on July 15 from 1-5 p.m. at Maples Memorial United Methodist Church in Olive Branch. The address is 8745 Goodman Road in Olive Branch.

Other hiring events are scheduled for the Bartlett YMCA on July 1 and the YMCA at Goodlett Farms in Cordova on July 26,

Y Care is a before and after school program that provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for elementary-aged children. As a Group Leader, staff will lead activities, foster positive youth development, and serve as role models during out-of-school time hours.

The YMCA is looking for individuals who:

  • Enjoy working with children and youth
  • Can create a fun, inclusive, and respectful group environment
  • Are dependable, energetic, and team-oriented
  • Have availability during weekday mornings and/or afternoons

Interested applicants are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their résumé and be prepared for an on-site interview. Positions are part-time and ideal for college students, retirees, or anyone looking to make a difference in their community. Qualified candidates will be hired on the spot.
