Chamberlin nominated for federal judgeship

If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Chamberlin will move from Mississippi’s highest court to an appointment on the federal bench in Oxford.

Kelly also had charges in DeSoto County, where in November 2022, he was indicted by a grand jury.

The public is encouraged to attend the Sept. 2 hearing to ask questions and provide feedback before the board votes on the budget and millage rate.

Both cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Ben Weathers with support from the Hernando and Olive Branch Police Departments.
