Southaven Young Professionals will hold an On the Menu lunch and networking event March 18 featuring Jeff Jones, organizers said. The event is open to all ages and includes lunch; registration is available online.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office said a resident received a call from someone claiming she missed federal jury duty and was told to pay $500 to avoid arrest. The office urged residents to verify suspicious calls.
