The City of Olive Branch is holding a Public Safety Night Out at the City Track on July 30, the city said, featuring raffles, food trucks and a kid zone. The city’s post said police and fire department members will staff a cooking team and invite residents to learn about safety.

The City of Olive Branch said its phone lines, including the nonemergency number 662-895-4111, are down. The city said 911 is not affected and vendor Brightspeed is working to restore service.

Officials urged residents to arrive early and dress for the weather for Public Safety Night Out, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m., Mayor Ken Adams said.

The Bunker Boutique in Hernando, Mississippi, said it is promoting first-day-of-school outfits and carries tops, dresses and accessories at its Highway 51 South location.

Mississippi Treasurer David McRae’s Unclaimed Money Team will be at the Olive Branch Senior Center on July 29 to help residents check for lost cash and securities, officials said.
