Mississippi Treasurer David McRae’s Unclaimed Money Team will be at the Olive Branch Senior Center on Wednesday, July 29, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams said.
The team will have workstations set up at the center, 8800 College St., to check residents for possible unclaimed funds, Adams said.
The State Treasury said unclaimed money consists of cash and securities reported abandoned by financial institutions. After five years of account inactivity, the funds are turned over to the State Treasury and made available for claim, the office said.
