The Panola County Sheriff’s Office said its front lobby will be closed Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day. Jail and patrol operations will continue; call 911 for emergencies or Panola County E-911 at 662-487-2430 for nonemergencies.

Fisher Arnold said the installation of an 80-foot pedestrian bridge is a major milestone for the Lick Creek Pedestrian Trail in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The project includes 0.8 miles of 10-foot-wide asphalt trail, trailhead amenities and scenic overlooks.
