The City of Olive Branch announced it is accepting applications for a dispatcher role and directed interested candidates to its jobs page for details.

The Hernando Main Street Chamber of Commerce said in a social media post that it celebrated Denise’s Happy Hounds LLC’s third anniversary and congratulated the pet care business on its growth.

Safe and Sound Home Care said it is serving clients from three locations in North Mississippi and provided a phone number for residents seeking information.

The college thanked its dining services workers with a private breakfast, prizes and a movie, the school said.

Utility work beginning Monday, May 11, may cause temporary lane closures and delays on Pleasant Hill Road, Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams and city public safety departments said.

Ken Adams asked residents to thank police officers or pray for their safety during National Police Week. He praised officers, dispatchers and city staff for their service, the City of Olive Branch said.

The DeSoto County Brief and DeSoto Shred will host a free drive-up shredding event May 14 at 500 Stateline Road in Southaven to allow residents to dispose of sensitive documents, organizers said.

The Olive Branch Police Department extended Mother’s Day greetings to mothers, grandmothers, bonus moms and mother figures, praising their love, strength and sacrifices, the department said.
