Stolen SNAP benefit replacement

If the Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) can verify that SNAP benefits were stolen due to skimming, card cloning, or other similar methods between Oct. 1, 2022, and Sept. 30, 2024, you may be eligible for replacement benefits up to a certain amount: either two months of your household’s benefit amount or the amount of the benefit theft, whichever is less.

You can report benefit theft to MDHS :

  1. Online (fastest way): Complete the Lost Benefit Attestation form on the MDHS website at www.mdhs.ms.gov
  2. By phone: Call the MDHS Fraud Hotline at 1-800-299-6905
  3. By mail: Complete the Lost Benefit Attestation form and mail to: MDHS Office of Inspector General P.O. Box 352 Jackson, MS 39205-0352

ACT FAST!
If you notice questionable charges, act fast! If your benefits were stolen between Oct. 1, 2022 and Aug. 13, 2023, you must report the theft by Oct. 13, 2023.

If your benefits are stolen on or after Aug. 14, 2023, you must report the theft within 30 days of discovering the theft.
