Presley endorsed for governor by NEMiss.News
Last week, gubernatorial nominee Brandon Presley earned the endorsement of NEMiss.News because of his “vision and unswerving dedication to bettering the lives of all Mississippians,” reported the Presley campaign on Monday, Sept. 18.
The editorial board noted Brandon has “consistently put Mississippians first, rather than bowing to special interests or partisan agendas. His loyalty lies with the well-being of every Mississippian.” NEMiss.News highlighted Brandon’s commitment to Medicaid expansion and cleaning up the corruption in state government.
Brandon has a long record of delivering on the Public Service Commission, including being“at the forefront” of efforts to expand high-speed internet. They also noted that he “fearlessly took on corporate lobbyists and politicians to defend Mississippi ratepayers” when Republicans and D.C. Democrats alike were trying to force the $2.9 billion Kemper Power Plant boondoggle on the backs of Mississippians.
Presley, the Northern District Public Service Commissioner, is the Democratic challenger to incumbent Gov. Tate Reeves in the November general election.
