Police investigate pair of drive by shootings in Crawford, MS

On Wednesday morning, a 57-year-old man in Crawford, Mississippi was injured in a drive-by shooting.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. as the victim was returning home from work. According to the victim, someone in a vehicle drove up in front of his car on Lodge Street and fired multiple shots.

One of the bullets went through the car door and struck the man in the leg. He is expected to recover.

Investigators discovered 23 shell casings on the ground, which were determined to be from two different guns: a 9-millimeter handgun and an AR-15 rifle.

This was the second drive-by shooting in the area in recent days. The investigation is ongoing.
