Entergy’s Fisackerly pens open letter on power restoration

Power has been restored in the Hernando area after recent storms swept through and caused extensive damage.

Entergy Mississippi officials have labeled the power outages that resulted after the storms that went through the state the largest since Hurricane Katrina.

“This created a worst-case scenario for power restoration, and it was a heavy lift,” said Entergy Mississippi president and CEO Haley Fisackerly.  “Our crews were forced to restore in an incredibly large area, stop work in mid-restoration as new storms kept reappearing, and sometimes restore the same lines again after new storms caused new damage.”

Fisackerly released an “open letter” to Entergy customers about the utility’s challenge, response and work to get service restored.
