Disturbance Leads to Arrest and Charges: Booneville Woman Faces Felony Charges

According to the Booneville Police Department, on June 12, 2024, officers from the Patrol Division responded to a disturbance in progress at a location on College Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered Tiffany Brianna Ayers, a 29-year-old resident of Booneville, MS.

Investigation by the officers revealed that Ms. Ayers was allegedly engaged in an altercation with another individual, during which she reportedly attempted to inflict serious bodily harm using a weapon. Additionally, it was determined that just prior to law enforcement’s arrival, Ms. Ayers caused significant damage to the personal property of the same individual.

As a result of their findings, officers placed Ms. Ayers under arrest. The case was subsequently transferred to the Criminal Investigation Division for further processing.

Ms. Ayers now faces serious legal repercussions. She has been formally charged with one felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one felony count of malicious mischief. Authorities have set her bond at $10,000.00.

The Booneville Police Department has indicated that the case will be presented to the Prentiss County grand jury, marking the next step in the legal process for Ms. Ayers.
