David Cox set to become first Mississippi inmate executed in nearly a decade
Things are on track for David Cox to become the first Mississippi inmate to be executed since 2012 according to MDOC Commissioner Burl Cain.
Cain said that as of early Wednesday evening that Cox has been upbeat but remorseful ahead of his execution.
Cox is set to be executed at 6 pm via lethal injection. His last meal was fried catfish, french fries and banana pudding.
Cox has admitted his guilty and has even said that he is “worthy of death”.
His execution does come with some controversy, though.
It is believed that David Cox may possibly hold information related to the dissapearance of his ex sister in law, Felicia Cox.
