UPDATE: Boy shot and killed in fight, three arrested

New details have emerged in the shooting death of a Jackson youngster originally thought to have died playing Russian Roulette.

WLBT-TV in Jackson reports that during an initial court appearance Monday morning, Markell Noah, age 12, was shot and killed Nov. 25 during a fight with a gun. Cayden Naylor, age 14, was in a fight with Noah when the shooting happened. Officers testified in court that Noah’s body was taken and dumped by Naylor and 17-year-old Eshawn Green at an abandoned home after the shooting.

The incident was originally reported as being a result of Noah playing Russian Roulette.

Naylor is now charged with murder and is in jail on $1 million bond. Green is charged with tampering with evidence and 21-year-old Kaylan Owens is charged as an accessory. Green and Owens are also charged with murder in a separate incident in Jackson from October, according to Jackson police.
