Meet the Candidates

John T. Williams endorsed by Mississippi Freedom Caucus

John T. Williams, a candidate for House District 28 State Representative, has received an endorsement from the Mississippi Freedom Caucus. Williams is facing Hernando Alderman W.I. “Doc” Harris in the August primary election with the winner elected without Democratic opposition.

In a statement, the Mississippi Freedom Caucus said, “John has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to our principles and ideals, making him an exemplary candidate to join the Mississippi Freedom Caucus.”

“This endorsement is a testament to the hard work and dedication we have put into building a brighter future for our great state,” Williams said. “I am immensely proud to align myself with the Mississippi Freedom Caucus, a group of legislators who are committed to stopping the slide back into failed policies and advancing our state towards a prosperous future.”

Williams said he looked forward to working closely with the Mississippi Freedom Caucus “and all like-minded individuals who share our vision for a prosperous and principled future for Mississippi,” said Williams.
