Windy City Bulls top Hustle in Winter Showcase finale
ORLANDO, Fla. – Despite a dominant performance on the glass and a 30-point scoring effort from GG Jackson II, the Memphis Hustle dropped their final game of the NBA G League Winter Showcase, falling 111-101 to the Windy City Bulls on Saturday.
The Hustle (0-2) struggled early as Windy City (1-0) ignited a 22-8 opening run. The Bulls eventually extended their lead to as many as 23 points in the first half, powered by a sharp perimeter attack that saw the team convert 14 3-pointers at a 42.4% clip.
Jackson II led all scorers with 30 points and seven rebounds, while Charlie Brown Jr. nearly notched a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Jahmai Mashack provided a defensive spark, finishing with nine points, 10 rebounds, and four steals.
Resilience and Record-Breaking Rebounding
Memphis mounted a gritty comeback in the second half. Utilizing a physical interior presence, the Hustle outscored the Bulls 58-48 in the paint and set a new franchise record with 28 offensive rebounds.
The surge brought Memphis within six points, trailing 87-81 with 9:29 remaining in the fourth quarter. However, the Bulls silenced the rally with a decisive 10-0 run to secure the victory.
Windy City was led by Mac McClung, who finished with 23 points and seven assists. Trentyn Flowers and Kevin Knox II each added 19 points in the win.

The Memphis Hustle will look to rebound as they transition to the regular season. They return to Southaven, on Saturday, Dec. 27, to host the Valley Suns in their home opener at Landers Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Central time.
